Ever since Castle Rock campus began in the summer of ’08, it has been a place for people to connect with Jesus, each other, and their purpose. We’re intentional about helping people make friends and enjoy each other in community—starting with an extended meet & greet time as well as other fun events during the year--and people from Castle Rock, Parker, Larkspur, Sedalia, and even farther come to experience that. Enjoy anointed worship that leads us to encounter God and be changed by Him. Experience children’s and youth ministries that care for kids and help them really walk with Jesus. Campus Pastors DJ & Cammy Smith
DJ and Cammy met in Barcelona, Spain in 1990, where DJ was born and raised. They got married 15 months later and then moved to Eugene Oregon where DJ went to Eugene Bible College, and received his Bachelors in Biblical Studies. After working for three years in a discipleship training ministry called INSTE (inste.edu), they spent the next three years on staff at two churches where they served in the areas of worship, children's ministry and discipleship. They moved to Colorado in 2000 to start a Spanish church in the inner-city, and by 2003 had merged that little flock to an established church and found themselves sitting at JFC, being refreshed by God after a difficult season. To their great surprise and joy, nine months later they were on staff as full-time worship pastors, and a season of unprecedented blessing and fruitfulness began for them. In 2008, they moved into their current role as Castle Rock campus pastors, where they serve presently. Cammy loves stealing decorating ideas from model homes and always loves shopping for a cute pair of shoes and DJ likes reading political biographies, listening to Rascal Flats, and riding his dune buggy. They both love sushi and watching the Amazing Race. They live in Highlands Ranch with their four ridiculously good-looking children, Caleb, Zach, Levi and Eliana.
