What to Expect from JFC

Vision:
- We are a regional charismatic teaching and training center

Mission:
- We will strategically plant churches so that the maximum number of people can taste the bread of life.
- We will be a place for the discovery and recovery of the promises of God through connecting, growing, and serving.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

We believe that the best way to reach this world is to start right here at home, strategically planting campuses throughout the Denver metro area neighborhoods. This in turn will give us the ability to reach out into the entire world with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Essentials vs. Nonessential: (Please attend our Connect Class for detailed information on this)
- We must have unity in the essentials of Christianity
- We have liberty with the nonessentials. Rom 14

Essentials of JFC
- Jesus is the only way to the Father and we come to Him through grace and grace alone. John 14:6 Eph 2:8-9
- The Bible is the inerrant Word of God. 2 Tim 3:16 2 Pet 1:20-21
- There is ONE GOD, in three persons, referred to as the trinity. The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. Gen 1:26 Deut 6:4 Matt 28:19
- Jesus Christ was fully man, and also fully God. John 1:1, 14 John 8:58
- Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary. Matt 1:18-20 Luke 1:35 Isaiah 7:14
- Jesus Christ is the substitutionary atonement for our sins. 1 Pet 2:24 1 John 1:7
- Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead. Luke 24:36-39 John 10:17-18 John 2:19-21
- Jesus Christ will return to the Earth to reign as King. Acts 1:11 Rev 1:7

Accountability:
When pastors fall, it is generally in one of two areas; financially or morally. JFC has put into place forms of accountability to prevent this from happening.

Financially: JFC has a board made up of five individuals from the membership of JFC’s body. The board advises Pastor John by giving wisdom to the decision making process, as well as providing a monthly review of the church finances. We also publish a yearly financial report that is available to all of JFC.

Morally: All staff have an accountability software on their computers that forwards any objectionable websites to two other pastors on staff. (xxxchurch.com)

Pastoral Structure:
- Pastor John Leach is the Senior Pastor and he receives the vision and direction of JFC (We are not board run).
- All other JFC pastors are accountable to him.
- All ministry leaders report to the pastor of the ministry they are in.

Elders and Deacons: 1 Timothy 3
- The pastors of JFC function in the Biblical role of “Elders,” and the qualifications listed in the above scripture must be met by these individuals.
- The board members at JFC function in the role of “Deacons.”

Membership:
Twice a year we have a membership meeting in which we go into great detail what it means to be a member at JFC. Contact the church for the next Membership Class 303-738-9416

Missions:
As mentioned above (Acts 1:8), we believe our immediate mission field is right here in our own backyard, and campus churches are our number one mission project. We also support many individual missionaries in a number of different countries throughout the world. In addition, we take several group mission trips throughout the year and encourage all to go on these outreaches.

Weekend Service Structure: Acts 2:42
The church does not make you a Christian, but gives avenues for community and accountability. We believe that the weekend service is a place to find encouragement and support in your relationship with Jesus.
- Praise: We start every service off with a time of praise to open our hearts to what God has for us and to remove the distractions of what we face in our day-to-day lives.
- Message: One of our teaching team pastors deliver a message that is inspired by the Holy Spirit and filled with the truth that comes from the Bible.
- Worship/Response: At the end of each message we ask the church to respond to whatever God is doing during this time of worship. We have crosses in which you can write what He is speaking to you and pin it to the foot of the cross, candles that you can light to represent God becoming the light in a certain area of your life, communion to remind us all of what Jesus did on the cross for our lives, and prayer in which you can have someone pray for you in a area you need help or encouragement in.
- Final Blessing: We conclude our service with a final blessing from our campus pastors to send you out.

Communion: 1Cor 11:24
- We serve communion every week with wine and bread (served in the front of the sanctuary) or juice and bread (served where the crosses are located). We believe that every time we gather together as believers we should partake in the breaking of bread and all believers are invited to partake with us.

Baptism: Eph 4:4-5
- We believe that baptism is the public profession of what we believe in our heart. We baptize 3-4 times a year during a special service for all those that desire to follow Christ in this public profession of faith. *We do not baptize babies. We dedicate them to the Lord and will baptize once they have reached the age of accountability and are able to decide for themselves to follow Christ.

Dedication:
-For our newborn babies we have a special dedication service every three months. We make this an intimate time of fellowship and prayer as we dedicate your child to the Lord. 1 Samuel 1:28

Tithe and Offering:
Our church does not collect tithe in the traditional sense of the word. We have boxes at the back of our sanctuaries and in our lobbies. You are able to drop off your tithe any time during the week or weekend service. You can also give online at www.jfc.org

Holy Spirit:
- We desire the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be alive and active at JFC. Please attend our Connect, Grow, and Serve classes to learn more of what JFC believes about the Holy Spirit.

Please contact your campus pastor if you have any questions regarding the above information. We would be glad to explain and discuss any thoughts you may have regarding what to expect from JFC.
